Pigeon Island announces the release of their album, 'Bad Kids', out on June 20!
Pigeon Island, Oakland California. This is the new project of Big Kids singer and guitarist Jason Romero. Pigeon Island was formed in Oakland California and is the collective effort of members of Big Kids, Acid Fast, Swearin’, and George Crustanza. The goal of this band is to have fun writing music, play fun shows, and visit friends on tour. “Bad Kids” is out June 20th on Lauren Records and Salt Marges Records.
The second single off the record, "Surfin The Yellow Room", is now streaming everywhere.
Here's what the band had to say about the song on Instagram:
This song, like a lot of the other songs on this record, is about reconnecting with old friends after taking time to grow on your own. It’s about having fun remembering that you don’t have to take a linear path to some desired destinations in life. “Surfin The Yellow Room” is a reference to shows that happened at The Yellow Room in Oakland between 2008-2016.
