Worth the drive / season 4 by Career Woman is out now via Lauren Records.
You can find it on all streaming platforms.
The three-track single features songs "worth the drive", "season 4", and "worth the drive (speeding)."
"Worth the drive" leans into the overwhelming feelings of a budding relationship. It's intimate and honest with a tinge of melancholy—perhaps because this is the first time the singer has felt so vulnerable. It feels like a 12am night drive alone, trusting you'll see someone at the end. The vocals are emotional, the guitar is raw and imperfect, and the lyrics are a diary entry.
In contrast, "season 4" is written from a dejected headspace, touching on the subject of self-worth and stagnation.
The single was made with brandon le (brendon b, mom cars).

Career Woman is the indie rock project of songwriter Melody Caudill, a Los Angeles native now based in Santa Cruz. Caudill's songs are deeply personal pieces of her life, and she hopes to connect with people who listen through the universal feelings present in her specific experiences. Whether it be imposter syndrome, growing pains, or issues with self worth, Caudill aims to put a positive spin on the heavier topics covered in her songs.
