LA-born Ariella underwent a sonic transformation during her time at CalArts, where she was introduced to sound art. Her folk-rock roots met sound art, and thus her first album CryBaby was born—an intimate diary detailing heartbreak, evolving friendships, and the loss of her father. She draws inspiration from a diverse array of artists such as Lomelda, Pinegrove, Slow Pulp, James Taylor, Jesus and Mary Chain, and Brian Eno.
