Pigeon Island, the new band from Jason Romero (Big Kids), has just released their new single, "88 Miles Per Hour", which is out now via Lauren Records and Salt Marge Records.
Here's what Jason had to say about the release:
What’s up yall, this is Jason from Big Kids and I’m here to introduce my new band Pigeon Island. Although this song was initially intended as Big Kids release, it’s been too difficult to organize all the members for things like shows and touring and so we’ve agreed for me to put this out under a different name. I’m hella excited to share this with yall and to be getting ready to play shows again for the first time in almost 10 years.
“88 Miles Per Hour” was written by myself and the other guitarist in Big Kids, Chris Brum. Nitin Nimgaonkar and Jeff Bolt (Swearin/Radiator Hospital) also helped write and record drums on this song. Keep an eye out for shows in the Bay Area in the near future!
“88 Miles Per Hour” is the first single out on Lauren Records and Salt Marge Records. We are currently working on a full length!
PS. Big Kids original will be working on new music this year with the intention of a release and shows to follow! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this song and those to follow!
Huge thanks to Manny for directing such a fun video and Eddy for bringing his bay famous foxbody and driving skills to the shoot.
