Engineered by Dunes and Carly Bond, the sessions\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eunfolded across the house and its front porch, allowing\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003ebirds, airplanes, wind, conversation, and the natural sound\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eof the canyon to become part of the recordings. What began\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eas a Foot Ox album gradually grew into a deeply\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003ecollaborative document of a particular place, a particular\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003egroup of friends, and a brief moment built around trust,\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eintuition, and chance.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003eFoot Ox is an experimental folk band from Portland,\u003cbr\u003eOregon, originally formed by songwriter Teague Cullen in\u003cbr\u003eTempe, Arizona, in 2007. More than a fixed lineup, Foot Ox\u003cbr\u003ehas always been a revolving door of friends and\u003cbr\u003ecollaborators, with each recording taking shape around the\u003cbr\u003epeople who happen to be in the room. Inspired by dreams\u003cbr\u003eand old films, the songs drift through love, grief, humor,\u003cbr\u003elandscapes, and hope using abstract imagery and subtle,\u003cbr\u003eunconventional arrangements.
